Discrimination, ableism and racism hurt but inclusion can heal: Listening to the intersectional experiences of service providers to co-create solutions for enhancing inclusion
Summary
Our team would like to understand the diverse lived experiences of youth with disabilities and particularly how disability intersects with race, ethnicity and gender. We would like to hear your recommendations for solutions to address discrimination and ways that we can enhance the inclusion of young people with disabilities.

Are you a clinician, service provider or educator who works with youth who have a disability? Consider participating in our study focusing on co-creating solutions to address discrimination and enhance the inclusion of young people with disabilities.
Who can participate
We are looking for:
- Clinician, or service provider or educator who has at least 1 year of experience working with children, youth or young adults with disabilities
- Able to communicate in English or with the help of an interpreter (can be provided by the study upon request)
Funding agency
SSHRC and Kimel Family Fund
What's involved
- Participants will be asked to take part in a 1 hour interview (online, through Zoom)
- Participants will receive a gift card as token of appreciation for participating.
