Overnight respite care

Please see our overnight respite care service.

In past years, Rehab & CCC has offered the opportunity to provide respite relief to our clients and families who have significant medical complexity through our summer respite camp. Due to the timing of a major upgrade to our electronic health record system, we are not able to provide summer overnight respite camp.

We will endeavor to provide individual opportunities for respite relief where feasible. You are welcome to put your name on our wait list and we will contact you when a space becomes available.

Please note that our current state of respite service provision remains unchanged as rehabilitation service needs continue to operate at high demand. Your continued patience is appreciated as both programs will be affected by the initiation of the electronic health record upgrade. Read more

NOTE: At this time, our overnight respite availability is limited due to the high number of children staying with us for rehabilitation. You are welcome to put your name on our waiting list and we will contact you should space become available. Please consider connecting with respiteservices.com (416-535-8525) for alternate respite options.

The overnight respite service, offered by our inpatient program, supports families by providing short-term, inpatient care for children with disabilities or complex medical needs from birth to the age of 18.

It provides clients and families with one week of camp experience, supported by health care providers and therapeutic recreation staff under the supervision of registered practical nurses.

The camp is focused on a therapeutic recreational experience while providing the nursing and medical support that the child requires for their activities of daily living.
