The brain injury rehab team serves clients aged 3 months to 18 years who require rehabilitation following an acquired brain injury. 

The goal of the program is to enable children and youth with brain injuries to recover as fully as possible and return to their homes, schools and communities.

Clients of the brain injury rehab program can be seen for intensive inpatient or day patient assessment and/or therapy, by various rehab professionals. They may also be directly referred to the brain injury rehab outpatient team depending on the client’s needs.


Examples of conditions:

  • Traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries
  • Anoxic brain injuries
  • Brain tumours
  • Arterio venous malformation (AVM)
  • Stroke
  • Post central nervous system infection
  • Concussion
