Recreational or instructional programs are offered seven days a week. Our aquatic programs are fully integrated and open to everyone. To make our pool accessible and welcoming to a broad range of swimmers with disabilities, our pool has a number of unique features. Our water temperature is 33ºC (92ºF), our change rooms (including family style) are fully accessible and equipped with ceiling lifts. We have an excellent variety of water chairs and a ramp entry into the pool. During swimming lessons, volunteer support is available to swimmers who require one-on-one support in order to participate safely. Holland Bloorview’s inpatient population participates in the aquatics programs twice a week. Parents and families of inpatients also have the chance to use the pool during our Family Swim times. Red Cross swimming lessons (for children, teens and adults), Aquafitness and various specialty programs ensure that there are program options for everyone.
