This community-based virtual workshop is geared to families with children entering JK/SK in September 2021.

The workshop aims to benefit families who are new to the Ontario education system as well as anyone who seeks to better understand the basics of special education in the early elementary school system. The workshop will include information about the following areas: 

- Understanding Ontario public school boards and how to register for school
- An introduction to special education and resources
- General information about Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and 
Identification, Placement and Review Committee (IPRC) Meetings
- How to access information about legal rights in education and advocacy  

There will also be time for Q&A and group discussion!
