2018 NYC Neuromodulation Conference

Dr. Michel Belyk and Keelia Quinn de Launay present at the 2018 NYC Neuromodulation Conference from August 23 to 27.

Michel’s research project involved determining optimal stimulation parameters for short and long interhemispheric inhibition using paired pulse magnetic transcranial stimulation (TMS). The optimization procedure provides recommendations for the principled design of experiments that seek to probe short or long interhemispheric inhibition.

New Masters Graduate Keelia’s research project involved the effect of tDCs on cognitive performance in youth with concussions. This study is an early step towards the development of novel therapeutic interventions for youth with persistent concussion symptoms. Our results will inform future clinical trials aimed at best understanding how to merge clinical practice and advancements in brain stimulation technology.
