Parent Support Network - Mental Health Supports for Parent/Caregivers
Parent Support Network (PSN) is a monthly support and discussion event for families. PSN aims to create a space where families can share experiences, information, challenges, successes and strategies. The discussion topic for this month is 'Mental Health and Other Supports for Parent/Caregivers' with special guest Shrid Dhungel from the Ontario Caregiver Organization.
Please join us to learn about:
• Stress and burnout and common signs and symptoms of each
• Strategies for identifying when caregivers are feeling stressed or burned out
• Resources to support caregivers at any step of their caregiving experience
• Additional community resources that support caregiver mental health including culturally and language-specific supports
• Meet other parents and share your ideas and experiences!

More about our Speaker Shrid Dhungel:
Shrid works with The Ontario Caregiver Organization as the Regional Lead for Community Engagement, for the Central Ontario region, including the GTA. He has over 8 years’ experience in Canada in stakeholder and community engagement and in co-design work. He holds a Master in Public Health degree and has worked in global health initiatives in developing countries as well, all prior to him immigrating to Canada.

- Unique peer-to-peer support network
- At times includes hearing from childhood disability experts
- Open to all parents or caregivers of children living with disability
- All are welcome - you do not have to be a Holland Bloorview client to attend
