This Child Development team works with children who have typical and atypical Rett syndrome.
To meet these complex needs, services include in clinic consultation by a multidisciplinary team from various disciplines including medicine, nursing, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. The disciplines work in collaboration with our community partners to provide a continuum of care.
Referral criteria
In order to be eligible for this service a physician/NP referral is required and the client must meet all of the following criteria:
- Lives in Ontario except where services are available for this client population
- Is under the age of 18
- Confirmation of the clinical diagnosis for typical or atypical Rett syndrome
- Had genetic testing completed (please submit a copy of the genetic testing results with the referral)
The client/family must be aware of the referral.
