Tom Burns was Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer for Allied Properties REIT until May 2023. In that role, he oversaw all leasing transactions, operations and large supplier relationships for the REIT’s 200 buildings in Canada. He continues to be active with Allied in an advisory role.
Prior to joining Allied, Tom was Senior Vice-President, Retail for DTZ Barnicke. He was part of the senior management team and was appointed sole Canadian representative to DTZ’s worldwide management committee. During Tom’s 30 year brokerage career, he was involved in all types of real estate transactions with the primary focus merchandising, leasing, consulting and selling shopping centres.
