Holland Bloorview named one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 15th consecutive year

Celebrating a legacy of workplace excellence

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital (Holland Bloorview) has once again been recognized as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers—marking its 15th consecutive year on this prestigious list.

The Greater Toronto's Top Employers competition, organized by Mediacorp Canada Inc., highlights organizations that lead the way with outstanding human resources programs and forward-thinking workplace policies. Employers are assessed across eight rigorous criteria:

  • Physical workplace
  • Work atmosphere and social environment
  • Health, financial, and family benefits
  • Vacation and time off
  • Employee communications
  • Performance management
  • Training and skills development
  • Community involvement

Some of the reasons why Holland Bloorview was selected as one of Greater Toronto's Top Employers (2025) are:

  • Along with helping employees save for the future, Holland Bloorview manages an Experienced Workforce Program as part of its talent planning framework, providing financial counselling, phased-in work options, and other support to help staff transition to retirement, including the ability to gradually reduce their hours over two years
  • Holland Bloorview supports employees' physical and mental well-being by providing resources like an online mental health and wellness hub, launched last year, and offering mental health care coverage of up to $2,500 annually through the organization's benefits plan
  • Holland Bloorview offers a unique Advantage Points Program to encourage employees to engage in healthy activities, rewarding them with redeemable points for participation in personal development, learning, volunteering, physical health and well-being activities, which can be exchanged for gift certificates or paid time off.

“It is an incredible honour to be recognized as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for the 15th time,” says Tracey Millar, vice president, people and culture at Holland Bloorview. “We are committed to fostering a healthy team and creating an inclusive, diverse and accessible environment where employees can thrive and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and youth with disabilities and developmental differences.”

Comprised of about 1,200 employees, Holland Bloorview serves over 9,000 clients each year through diverse programs and services. In addition, we have over 1,000 volunteers who contribute about 50,000 hours annually. Volunteers come from across the GTA and speak over 60 languages.

Holland Bloorview is Canada's largest children's rehabilitation hospital focused on improving the lives of kids with disabilities. We are dedicated to creating a world of possibility for children and youth with disabilities and their families. Every individual employed at Holland Bloorview plays a key role in this. We offer the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of families, while also challenging one another in an inclusive workplace.
