David Shawn MD, FRCPC

Developmental Paediatrician / Assistant Professor of University of Toronto

Dr. Shawn has been practicing since July 1981 to present. Dr. Shawn is on Staff at The Hospital for Sick Children (HSC), an Assistant Professor at U of T, and a member of the Division of Community Developmental Paediatrics (Courtesy), and Honorary Staff for Paediatric Medicine.

Dr. Shawn’s area of clinical interest is Developmental and Behavioral Paediatrics.

During his years on Staff at HSC he has participated in: the School Consultation Clinic, The Paediatric Psychiatry Psychophysiologic Clinic, The General Paediatric Clinic, Ward Service, Surgical consults; Minor Emerg, the Medical Staff Association, Undergraduate Outpatient Paediatric Teaching, OSCE testing. Dr. Shawn has also authored two books on ADHD.

On October 7, 2022 - the University of Toronto presented Dr. Shawn with a 35 Years of Service Award In grateful recognition of your years of dedicated service to the University of Toronto signed by Rose M. Patten, Chancellor, Janet L. Ecker, Chair of Governing Council, and Meric S. Gertler, President.
