Danielle DuPlessis

Danielle is a long-time member of the NOvEL lab, having been supervised under Dr. Scratch for Masters degrees from both the University of Toronto (2020) and York University (2022). Currently, Danielle is pursuing her PhD in Clinical Developmental Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology at York. Her work focuses on supporting marginalized groups (folks with disabilities, young children) who have experienced concussion. She aims to help them return to valued activities safely. To do so, Danielle engages with knowledge-holders to guide study and intervention development. Outside of school, Danielle is a wheelchair basketball player and Paralympian who competed with team Canada for four years. In her spare time, Danielle loves riding her bike, camping, and making trips to her home province of New Brunswick.
