Listening to the Margins Art Exhibit
Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) HEART Lab, together with Holland Bloorview’s EPIC Lab, are proud to co-host a new art exhibit titled “Listening to the Margins”.
Under the direction of Dr. Fiona Moola, an associate professor at TMU’s Faculty of Community Services and lead of the HEART Lab, and Dr. Tim Ross, a scientist at the Bloorview Research Institute, a professor at the University of Toronto and lead of the EPIC Lab, the Listening to the Margins Art Exhibition will take place at the Neilson Park Creative Centre from June 22 until July 7, 2023.
This art exhibition shines a light on the complex intersectionality between race/culture, disability, and illness/healthcare in contemporary society through the visual arts, including paintings, sketches and photos created by community artists and research participants. The Listening to the Margins event is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
Please join us for an evening of art, music, thinking, feeling and snacks at our official opening reception on Thursday, June 22, 7 p.m.!
