Elliot Scherer is Managing Director and Global Head of the Wealth Solutions Group at CIBC Global Markets. Elliot and his team are responsible for originating and marketing capital market products including structured notes, fixed income, FX, CDRs, private markets, financing and hedging solutions to investment advisors, private bankers and their high-net-worth investors. Prior to his current role, Elliot led the Canadian Institutional Equity Derivatives Sales team that marketed customized solutions to institutional investors, including: pension plans, mutual funds, life insurance companies, hedge funds and not-for-profit clients. Before joining the financial field, he worked as an engineer at Celestica.   Elliot is a member of CIBC’s Children’s Foundation Donation Committee; and is a former Chair of CIBC’s Children’s Miracle Day. Elliot holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science, Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business.
