About | Camp holds a multitude of physical and emotional benefits including the development of social skills, independence, self-esteem and confidence. For a child with a physical disability, improvement of these developmental traits is imperative to their growth. A summer camp experience allows a child to discover new physical capabilities while making friends, trying new activities, and navigating a world designed for their special needs. While camp is a great experience, it is not for everyone. Campers live in a group setting with many other children/youth who also have a physical disability. The setting will be quite active and campers need to be able to successfully function in such an environment. To best determine a camper’s eligibility and appropriateness, Easter Seals staff will carefully review each camper’s application prior to acceptance. The camp’s nursing facilities are limited and by the nature of camp, are remotely located. Camp is typically NOT able to meet the needs of children/youth who require skilled nursing care. |

About | Brain computer interfaces (BCIs) translate brain activity into commands that can control technology. Holland Bloorview's Clinical BCI Program offers therapeutic recreation groups where participants have the opportunity to explore BCI applications with other BCI users. Together, kids can practice their BCI skills, create an art masterpiece, race remote control cars, play games and have fun. |

About | The NBS Adaptive Dance Program was developed in consultation with Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. About | Respite Care is a temporary break for caregivers from the ongoing responsibilities of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities and/or autism. It offers relief, support, and a chance for caregivers to recharge. At Community Living Toronto, Respite Choices provide families and caregivers in the Toronto area (Scarborough, Etobicoke, North York, and Toronto) with short breaks. About | Challenger Baseball is Jays Care's adaptive baseball program, run in partnership with Little League Canada and Baseball Canada, specifically designed to empower children, youth and adults living with physical and/or cognitive disabilities. The program teaches athletes living with disabilities the core life skills inherent to baseball, including: teamwork, communication, determination, resiliency, inclusion, support and courage. Challenger Baseball ensures every athlete has the opportunity to play in a fun and safe environment where they learn to become more independent, build confidence, improve their communication skills, and set and achieve their own personal goals. During the summer months, volunteer community coaches lead the program as distinct leagues in communities across Canada. Throughout the school year, Challenger Baseball takes place in partnership with integrated and specialized schools and a variety of community-based organizations. Anyone registered as a Challenger Baseball coach, teacher or programmer can receive in-person training from Jays Care, adaptive equipment, t-shirts and hats for players and a wide variety of coaching tools to support their athletes. |

About | ParaSport Ontario is a non-profit organization that supports all members of the disability community in finding their sport or activity of choice. We not only try to connect the disability community to find para sport opportunities in their region but we also try to connect all parasport and adapted activity/fitness organizations to become more streamlined and less fragmented. This is done through our website and our Resource Hub which houses all of this information for people to come to as a one-stop-shop and access all the information and resources about finding the parasport/activity opportunity that is right for them and in their region. We also have a Play to Podium fund where people can apply for funding to purchase adapted equipment to remove the barrier of participation to that adapted parasport of choice if needed and have equipment rentals too. |

Pickering Football Club's All Abilities soccer programs offer children and youth with intellectual and/or physical disabilities an opportunity to participate in specially designed recreational opportunities. Every child deserves a chance to build lasting friendships, make memories and feel like they belong. The All Abilities team strives for an inclusive environment where no child is noticed for their disability, rather, their enormous abilities shine. Our programs are fully inclusive, designed and adapted for children with any disability or level of behaviour. Whether they use a wheelchair, walker or wear orthotics, or live with an intellectual, communication (ASD) or developmental disability, we provide support (1:1 as needed) and welcome all on the field. PFC's All Abilities programs are at the forefront of development of not only soccer and recreational programs but also physical literacy programming, quality participation and recreation/socialization opportunities. |

About | PowerHockey Toronto runs a weekly house league from October through May each year, providing para-athletes with various disabilities and skill levels who use a power wheelchair the opportunity to partake in a recreational, yet competitive sport, of powerhockey. Powerhockey is based off the rules of ice hockey but played on a gym floor. Powerhockey enables players to meet and learn from others with similar disabilities as well as develop many transferable life skills including teamwork, collaboration, and analytical thinking. Lifelong friendships and relationships are fostered and a tight-knit community of players, coaches, volunteers, and fans are formed, where it becomes more than just hockey. |
