Bike Share Toronto station installed at Holland Bloorview

Service enables riders to pick up and return bikes for half-hour trips

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is pleased to announce that a Bike Share Toronto station has been installed at the eastern end of Kilgour Road, allowing staff and the Leaside community easy access to the service. Bike Share Toronto enables riders to pick up a bike for a 30-minute trip and return it to any station in the city.

There are four payment options:

  • Annual pass with unlimited 30-minute trips per year—$99
  • Three-day access pass with unlimited 30-minute trips—$15
  • One-day access pass with unlimited 30-minute trips—$7
  • Single trip—$3.75

For every extra 30 minutes, an overage fee of $4 is applied.

Station kiosks include a touch screen for purchasing passes. Kiosks also allow riders to get ride codes and redeem gift certificates.

Another way to make purchases is through the app CycleFinder/PBSC, which lets riders download and plan routes, discover station locations, track bike inventory and unlock bikes from their smartphones.

Whether purchased at a station kiosk or through the app, riders will receive a five-digit code. They enter the code when picking up their bike, unlock their bike from the station and begin their trip.

Bike Share Toronto membership also comes with perks. Among them are deals at Fix Coffee + Bikes, Fresh City and The Healthy Butcher.

The Holland Bloorview station is one of a handful in the community. Bike Share Toronto stations are located at the Lawrence and Eglinton subway stations, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and York University’s Glendon campus. There are over 600 stations in Toronto.
