Nik holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, where he specialized in Biomechanics & Biomaterials. He currently works as a Management Consultant at PwC, where he combines project management & data analytics to strategically improve the business operations of global healthcare & biotechnology clients. Nik has been personally connected to Holland Bloorview for the entirety of his life, as he was born without a left hand and has utilized the prosthetics they’ve provided him to compete against able-bodied athletes at the highest level of numerous sports growing up. He is deeply passionate about improving the lives of amputees and the disability community in general. His experience in this space includes being the founder of his university’s first bionics design team - where he led the development of low-cost prosthetic arm for amputees in developing countries, serving on the board of Lime Connect - an American non-profit that is rebranding disability through achievement, and interning under Canada’s Research Chair in Human-Centred Robotics & Machine Intelligence.
