Canada’s Top 100 Employers for Young People 2017

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is honoured to announce that we have been selected as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People 2017. The award recognizes employers that offer the nation’s best workplace and programs for young people starting their careers. Each employer is chosen based on the availability of benefits, co-op or work-study programs, mentorship and training programs, career management programs and the ability to attract and retain younger employees.

“We are thrilled to have been selected as a recipient of this award,” says Julia Hanigsberg, president and CEO, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. “Making our organization attractive to young employees ensures that we encourage new and innovative approaches to the way we lead research, teach and provide care for children with disabilities and their families.”

As a teaching hospital, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is committed to sharing our knowledge and expertise. Working with over 450 students and trainees, we aim to provide every young professional with an optimal learning experience.

“We value the skills and knowledge young people bring to our organization and work hard to provide programs designed to further develop their skills and abilities in all our health care disciplines,” says vice president, Judy Hunter, Human Resources, Organizational Development & Business Affairs, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. “The hospital provides a friendly and supportive atmosphere and a unique working environment that nurtures and fosters care for our clients.”
