Cocoa
It was early February and I was sitting at my usual table at the Head Space Café
Musing over the think piece I had just read in Some Newspaper on
Respect and Its Role in the Hierarchy
But I digress…
I took a sip of my usual Chocolate- anticipating the sweet, relaxing, nourishment
So useful in placating and pacifying but to my- dare I say displeasure(?)
I received something called Cocoa-how drole! COCOA
Bitter, languid, forward and so opposite of sweet Chocolate
How could they have made such a faux pas?
But one supposes that while Chocolate could never be mistaken for Cocoa
Cocoa could easily be thought to be Chocolate
That is until one met it vis a vis- or in my case- via my cup!
The Head Space Café assured me that there was no mistake
They were branching out- wanting their valued customers to affect
Something new – that wasn’t new as Cocoa had always been there
Of course- first experiences are free to the valued customer! Of course
So it was- with some encouragement -some accoutrements for taste
Some willingness to try
I found Cocoa to be not…unpleasant
And while Chocolate will always be Chocolate
I find I can make room for Cocoa too
Naturally- I will never admit this to the Head Space Café
The Cocoa was free after all
