About jay

Jay Jay Baldwin (they/them) is a former client and current/longtime ambassador of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Jay has worked with the Holland Bloorview Foundation since they were 16 years old, through various campaigns and initiatives. Situated in Ottawa ON, Jay is a fourth year BA Honours undergraduate student at Carleton University in women and gender studies and they have a double minor in disability studies and critical race studies. Disabled, queer and fabulous is the best way to describe Jay and coincidentally this is also the title of the Facebook group Jay created just over four years ago. This Facebook group has over 1.2 thousand members all over the world and this has got to be the best job/passion project that Jay has ever had. This group is open to disabled, queer people, as well as those who support and love disabled, queer folks! After Jay graduates, they plan to get their masters and PhD in order to become a professor and teach in the areas of activism and community building in capacities that include all intersectional experiences and identities! Jay intends on writing and publishing their first novel about their life story, in the very near future. Stay tuned!
