About Jackie

JackieJackie, an 18-year client and proud ambassador for Holland Bloorview, uses they/them and she/her pronouns. Though Jackie became an ambassador around 2014, they’ve been with the hospital for a lot longer. Jackie was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at age 4, which they have had since birth, along with being born premature at 29 weeks.  Jackie is also a twin! She adores all kinds of creative activities, such as visual arts, writing, filmmaking, as well as acting. Even more than that, Jackie has held a strong passion for standing up for inclusion and acceptance for as long as they can remember. Holland Bloorview has allowed them to be a part of positive change, and embrace their identity; having a physical disability, being neurodivergent, Queer; genderfluid and lesbian, as well as the many other things that they are. As an ambassador, Jackie has been a part of the Capes for Kids Campaign for the past 7 years, as well as the Imagine Everybody and Dear Everybody Anti-Stigma Campaign. Most recently, Jackie played the voice of Polly in Polly Can Do, a short series created by Milkcow Media about a 5 year-old girl with cerebral palsy. The series was released on Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day, on March 25th, of 2025 on TVO Kids.
