ABA Services in Inclusion Programs
Supporting children and youth to take part in Holland Bloorview’s inclusion programs.
Does your child want to join an Inclusion program but needs additional support to participate?
Our Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services are part of Holland Bloorview’s inclusion programs. We work with children, youth, families and program teams to identify what will help each child take part in activities that interest them.
Support may include individual sessions, parent and caregiver coaching, or small-group learning. Together, we focus on skills and support that connect to participation in inclusion programs.
Working together to support participation
We start by learning about your child’s interests, strengths, communication and support needs. We also want to hear what has helped your child feel comfortable and involved in other activities.
Together, we identify participation goals. These might include:
- Asking for help or a break.
- Becoming familiar with a new activity or routine.
- Using shared materials and taking turns.
- Moving between activities with support.
- Building skills needed to access a program.
Supporting participation also means looking at the program itself. We consider how routines, activities, materials and staff approaches could better support your child.
Your Journey Begins Here
We’re here to make getting started as simple and supportive as possible. Follow the steps below to begin your journey with our ABA services.
Getting Started Is Easier Than You Think
You may have questions about ABA therapy, what services will look like, or whether ABA is right for your child. That's completely understandable.
Our team will guide you through each step, answer your questions, and take the time to understand what matters most to your child and family.
Step 1: Reach Out
Complete our Behavioral Background and Intake Form so we can learn more about your child, your family’s priorities, and the type of support you are seeking. Email your completed form to Amanda Modrovsky at amodrovsky@hollandbloorview.ca
Step 2: Let’s Talk
Once we receive your form, a member of our team will connect with you to learn more about your needs, answer any questions you may have, and help you understand our available services and next steps.
Step 3: Register for Services
When you’re ready to move forward, register for One-to-One ABA Therapy or One-to-One Parent Coaching through our Inclusion Registration Portal: Register for ABA Services. If you know what you want, you can skip steps 1 & 2 and register directly for services.
If you are new to the registration portal, you will need to create an account. Please keep your username and password in a safe place, as you will need this information to access your account and manage your registration.
