Sarah received her BScH in Neuroscience and Mental Health from Carleton University, and her MSc in the Integrated Program in Neuroscience at McGill University. Sarah’s research interests and expertise focus on understanding and enhancing the well-being and resilience of children and young people. At the PRISM Lab, Sarah is evaluating assistive technology solutions for children with disabilities.

Ledy received her Ph.D. in Physical Therapy from Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. She has a Bachelor of Physical Therapy, specializing in Physical Therapy in Traumatic-Orthopedic and Sports Rehabilitation with an emphasis in Manual Therapy. She also holds a Master’s degree in Neuroengineering.

Jason completed his Master of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2021. His research interest is in brain-computer interface (BCI) technologies. His master's research focused on developing an EEG-MRI BCI for youth with brain lesions using EEG source imaging. He is currently working on a BCI-based communication system for children with special communication needs.

Ka Lun received his B.A.Sc. in the Engineering Science program (Biomedical Option), and has an M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering, both from University of Toronto. He has been a part of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital since 1995, when he started as a summer student. He worked briefly as a software developer in the IT field before starting full time at Bloorview in 1999.

Fanny received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics and Electronics Engineering from Grenoble Institute of Technology.
She joined the PRISM Lab in 2010 after an internship with Dr. Elaine Biddiss and is now responsible for designing assistive technology solutions for children with disabilities.
Fanny enjoys reading, watching movies and eating delicious French food. She is also an enthusiastic soccer and curling player.

Leslie joined the PRISM Lab at Holland Bloorview in 2009 as a Master’s student, and in 2011 became a full-time staff member. Leslie’s background is in Biological and Clinical Engineering.
Dr Loh is a developmental paediatrician and Medical Chief of Staff at Surrey Place.
Clinical: He has worked in the area of assessment of FASD, Behavioural Medical issues, Transition Aged Youth with IDD, and ASD in children with genetic syndromes.
Dr. Amber Makino has been a staff Developmental Paediatrician at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto since 2017, after completing her Paediatric Residency and Developmental Paediatrics Fellowship at the University of Toronto. Her academic interests are in the areas of quality improvement (QI) and medical education.
