Kristen English is a certified therapeutic recreation specialist on the transitions, recreation & life skills team at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Working collaboratively with community partners, Kristen provides adapted sport and recreation opportunities to children and youth with disabilities including wheelchair basketball, All Abilities Soccer and the Access Boom Sailing program.
Sarah Nauman is the principal of Bloorview School Authority. Bloorview School Authority is an educational facility located inside Holland Bloorview that provides innovative school programs to children and youth with special needs. Sarah leads a team of educators and therapists who serve children and young people from across Ontario, creating individualized educational programs which are set up in conjunction with ongoing therapeutic and medical care.
Kathryn is the director of the Extensive Needs Service at Holland Bloorview. She is a registered occupational therapist with 15 years of clinical experience and 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the areas of specialized clinical services and mental health in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Holland Bloorview, Kathryn was the manager of Integrated Mental Health and Substance Use at Michael Garron Hospital.
Katherine Schnurr is a certified child life specialist at Holland Bloorview where she has 15 years of experience working with inpatients on the specialized orthopedic and developmental rehab team. Katherine is also a certified child and adolescent trauma professional. Katherine understands the developmental impact and emotional concerns that children, youth and families can experience in the hospital setting.
