Shannon Scratch, PhD, CPsych

Senior Clinician Scientist; Clinical Neuropsychologist; Holland Family Professorship in Acquired Brain Injury

Dr. Shannon Scratch is the director of the NOvEL (Neurorehab Outcomes via Education and Learning) Lab, a Clinician Scientist and an Associate Professor (Paediatrics; Rehab Sciences, UofT). She is also a registered Clinical Neuropsychologist dedicated to developing interventions for youth with concussion or acquired brain injury and their families.  Her clinical practice is in the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Team at Holland Bloorview, including Concussion Services. She also has foundational training and experience linking neuropsychological and neuroimaging methods in at-risk pediatric populations including youth with acquired brain injury and concussion, children born preterm, and youth with medical complexity.

Research

Current project areas of focus include: interdisciplinary practice, youth mental health, youth active rehabilitation, caregiver wellbeing, sibling wellbeing, educator awareness, and application of neuroimaging to clinical populations. The lab aims to foster the development of interdisciplinary research and clinical trainees of all levels.
