As a visual artist, arts educator and program coordinator, Shannon is passionate about working with children and youth using the materiality of the arts as a way for them to explore and express their ideas.

At Holland Bloorview, the arts are of especial importance during the clients’ rehabilitation journey as they can build on, maintain and gain art skills and interests in a nurturing studio environment. They can create their own art experience supported by caring adults who are professional artists.

Shannon studied at the University of Toronto and OCAD University where she obtained her BFA. She has had the pleasure of working as an Artist in Education at a wide range of schools through the Ontario Arts Council and as an Artist in Residence at Evergreen Brick Works.
