Jonathan Davey
Jonathan Davey is a proud member of the Lower Cayuga of the Six Nations of the Grand River and the Chief of Staff to the President and CEO at Scotiabank. From 2018 to 2023, he provided banking and wealth solutions to Indigenous nations, businesses, and peoples with the intent of positively impacting future generations as the Vice President of Indigenous Financial Services. Before joining the bank, Jonathan was a Federal Crown and Special Advisor to the Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for Aboriginal Affairs within the Department of Justice Canada. He also serves as a Captain in the Canadian Armed Forces (CD) and is an Aide de Camp to the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario (AdeC). He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Cornell University, a Juris Doctorate from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a first-class honours bachelors degree from Brock University. Recently, Jonathan was named one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40 by PwC and Caldwell Partners.
