Education & Training
Janset completed her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering at Yeditepe University in 2025 with honours. During her undergraduate studies, she explored diverse areas of biomedical engineering, including biothermodynamics and artificial intelligence in medicine. She is currently a PhD Candidate in the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto.
Research
Janset is interested in investigating how music and neurotechnology can be combined to better understand and support emotional functioning in children with neurodevelopmental conditions. Her current research focuses on developing music-based brain-computer interfaces to support emotional awareness in autism. She is passionate about developing accessible technologies that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
Other Interests
Outside of academics, Janset is passionate about dance and also enjoys singing, learning new instruments, and drawing. She loves spending time outdoors and with her family and friends.
