Bayan Yammout

Bayan Yammout
Teacher & facilitator - educator sessions

Bayan Yammout is a Special Education Teacher with experience teaching students with physical, intellectual, self-regulation, and communication needs. She taught at Toronto District School Board, at Bloorview School Authority inside Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, and overseas. Over the last 4 years, Bayan created a program to amplify students’ voice and empower them through self-advocacy and leadership skills. Currently, Bayan delivers workshops and shares evidence-based practices on disability awareness, self-advocacy, and social inclusion. Outside of school, Bayan volunteers overseas by supporting educators at refugee camps and children impacted by war.

Mathias Castaldo

Mathias Castaldo
Lived experience youth facilitator - student sessions

Mathias Castaldo is person with a disability called cerebral palsy. He currently works as a Youth Facilitator at Holland Bloorview. Mathias talks about growing up with a disability with youth, families and others. Mathias shares his experiences as a student in primary, secondary and post-secondary education and employment. Mathias has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Master of Education in Developmental Psychology and Human Development from the Ontario Institute of Studies and Education/University of Toronto.

Gunjan Seth

Gunjan Seth
Lived experience family facilitator - community sessions

Gunjan is a dedicated parent of an individual with autism and ADHD and a proud immigrant to Canada. With nearly a decade of experience as a Family Leader at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, she also serves as a Family Mentor, Family as Faculty, and past co-chair of the Family Advisory Committee. In 2021, she co-designed one of the modules for Project Inclusion, a series of educator modules on disability, inclusion, and accessibility. In addition to her work with Holland Bloorview, Gunjan is active with other autism and mental health organizations. Gunjan is committed to creating a world that is compassionate, just and inclusive for all - and care that is agile, culturally safe, and transformed by research and education.
