Jennifer is a physiotherapist at Holland Bloorview and a postdoctoral fellow in the NOvEL Lab (Neurorehab Outcomes via Education & Learning) at the Bloorview Research Institute. Her passion for paediatric rehabilitation research is fueled by her 20+ years of clinical experience, predominantly working with children/youth with acquired brain injury. Jenn’s research interests include leveraging technology to enhance the assessment and treatment of children and youth with neuromotor conditions, exploring clinical decision-making in the promotion of motor learning, and evaluating the implementation of research into clinical practice. Her postdoctoral research involves adapting a concussion-specific return-to-play assessment (called R2Play) for youth with moderate to severe acquired brain injury as a means of improving physical activity recommendations. Her postdoctoral position is funded by an ENRICH (Empowering Next-generation Researchers in perinatal and Child Health) postdoctoral salary award.
