Willow Barton

Willow will be assisting the NOvEL lab as a Research Student. She is currently completing her co-op for a graduate certificate in Clinical Research. In 2022, she graduated from the University of Toronto with an HBSc in Cognitive Science and Biodiversity Conservation Biology. She was also a member of the varsity soccer team for two years. Willow continues to experience PPCS from a concussion she sustained from soccer in 2019; while her PPCS has taken her away from sport, her experience fuels her desire to pursue concussion and brain injury research. Willow will be helping with multiple projects throughout the lab, including Move&Connect, i_SibworkS, and Teach-ABI. Following completion of her research program, Willow plans on going back to school for her MA in Clinical Neuropsychology, with her ultimate goal being to obtain her PhD and become a Clinical Neuropsychologist. In her spare time, you can find Willow cheering on all her favourite sports teams, and hanging out with her friends, family, pets, and squishmallows.
