Bill’s Daring Legacy

Years ago, I brought my young grandson to Holland Bloorview for swim lessons.

While I was sitting in that lobby, watching all the kids and their families, something in me clicked. I felt the immediate sense that I could do good here.

Before long, I started volunteering in the playroom, then the Bloorview School Authority, the pool, and now at the gym and in other areas. I’ve seen some pretty incredible things in these halls. Kids finding their voices through technology. Children taking their first steps on their own. Young people navigating their world with specially designed prosthetics.

I speak with parents who are so grateful for what their child is receiving here. I see nurses and therapists, so compassionate and professional with each child in their care. At research symposiums, I meet passionate students and researchers dedicated to the groundbreaking work that Holland Bloorview is known for. I know that the work they do today will change someone’s life for good.

That’s exactly why my wife and I put Holland Bloorview in our Will. We want to help keep this research and level of care going strong so every kid with disabilities can live their life to the fullest. Will you join us?
