Transitions occur at many stages, paths, parts of life – but for children and youth with a disability – transitions present as many opportunities as challenges. Whether they are transitioning to school, between grades, into a hospital setting, entering adulthood or independent living, transitions mean many things to many people.
On November 10, 2015, the Bloorview Research Institute will host its 10th annual Symposium, this year with a focus on transitions. The day will raise the volume on transition research, showcase cutting-edge investigations that face children and youth with disabilities, amplify the family voice and share client and family experiences, and set the stage for future research exploration in this field.
