Dr. Sally Lindsay and youth leader Hannah Boamah spoke to CTV News about the new online resource

Dr. Sally Lindsay, senior scientist and director of BRI’s TRAIL Lab, speaks to CTV News about the launch of a new online resource to support youth with disabilities and developmental differences facing multiple forms of discrimination. 

The Anti Discrimination Resource Hub launched yesterday at the 20th annual Bloorview Research Institute Symposium was also developed as a resource for families and service providers on how to support youth with disabilities and developmental differences.

Hannah Boamah, a youth leader who is pursuing her master’s degree in social work at U of T, also shared her experiences around discrimination when asking for educational accommodations with CTV News. Hannah partnered with Dr. Lindsay on the creation of the hub by sharing her lived experiences and the importance of education about people with disabilities, peer and social support, embracing different perspectives and having empathy.
