Finnley Hynes’ parents describe her as their “hero.” In fact, 10-year-old Finnley’s bravery and resilience has been on full display since a life-changing playground accident left her quadriplegic. Finnley and her family recently shared their story with the media where they talked about how the support of the entire Holland Bloorview community, including Finnley’s clinical team, has been a bright light in a difficult time. They also talked about a fundraising campaign that has been set up to help the family purchase a wheelchair-accessible van and to build a fully-accessible structure for Finnley to live in when she returns home.
