The Annual Bloorview Research Institute (BRI) Trainee Workshop aims to inspire, coach, and connect students dedicated to improving the lives of children with disabilities. Join us in the afternoon of Friday, March 11 2016, for a half-day of interactive workshops geared towards BRI trainees.
The workshops include topics such as improving your academic writing, pitching your research in an accessible and engaging way, fine-tuning your CV, building your personal brand, and much more! This is the inaugural year and the event will focus on developing tangible and transferable skills for advancing any trainee's personal and professional goals.
Alongside various professional development opportunities, attendees will have the opportunity to hear influential stories from both parents and scientists, including a keynote presentation from Louise Kinross, BLOOM Magazine Editor, and a panel on "How To Be A Scientist" featuring BRI's own Dr. Tom Chau, Dr. Jessica Brian, Dr. Nick Reed, and Dr. Amy McPherson.
