Together We Dare campaign urges Canadians to close the gap in access to disability health care
As the Together We Dare campaign enters its final stretch, a new poll commissioned by Holland Bloorview shows that while most Canadians are aware delays in access to care hurt kids with disabilities, far fewer know about an acute shortage of clinicians who provide specialized care.
Dr. Golda Milo-Manson, one of 159 developmental pediatricians across Canada set to retire in the next three years, shares what impact this gap will have on children with disabilities and developmental differences. She was joined by Sandra Hawken, president and CEO, Holland Bloorview Foundation and eight-year-old client ambassador Hira and her father Asif Shah.
