Music and Arts
What do we do in Music and Arts?
Music and Arts programs at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital offer a wide range of year-round art and music programs for children and youth with disabilities and their siblings, up to the age of 21 years (note: only Spiral Garden is an integrated program for participants with AND without special needs)*. Led by accredited music therapists and professional artists, Music and Arts programs provide opportunities for self-expression and social participation through programs that focus on music education, music therapy, visual and performing arts.
* Please see program descriptions in the brochure for specific age requirements.
Holland Bloorview Rocks is back
Ever wanted to be in a rock band? Now is your chance! The second annual Holland Bloorview Rocks Fundraiser is on November 6, 2016 and YOU can be in one of the bands. This is a fun opportunity for youth (age 9-18) with a disability to learn a new instrument and give back to the Holland Bloorview community. Learn more:
Integration at Spiral Garden
Unique to Spiral Garden, participants with and without special needs come to the program in an integrated setting. It creates ample opportunity for making new friends and learning about each other. If needed, staff are always around to help facilitate conversations and interactions in the celebration of all that makes us different and unique. See the Spiral Garden page for more information!
