Dimitri is currently a Research Assistant working on the Province of Ontario Neurodevelopmental Disorders (POND) Network, led by Dr. Evdokia Anagnostou. This ongoing study investigates how genes impact the brains, bodies, and behaviours of kids across Neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, ADHD, OCD, Intellectual Disabilities) and aims to translate these findings into better-targeted treatments.
Dimitri was previously a volunteer within the Autism Research Centre during his undergraduate education, and was first introduced to POND when his brother enrolled in the study back in 2015. He completed his Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Physiology at the University of Toronto. Prior to working in ARC, Dimitri worked as an IBI therapist for children in the Toronto area with developmental and learning differences. He is thrilled to be apart of the Autism Research Centre in order to help families through Autism research.
