Leslie Street and Eglinton closure in July and August and TTC route diversions
Metrolinx has proposed a closure on Leslie Street for LRT construction starting in July and continuing into August. The closure could affect commutes to and from Holland Bloorview. The temporary construction is expected to run for eight weeks. TTC routes in the area are also impacted.
Details of Leslie/Eglinton closure:
- Eglinton will remain open at all times, running one lane in each direction.
- Leslie, which ends at Eglinton, will remain open as well but cars heading south on Leslie will be forced to turn back around when they get to Eglinton.
- Vehicles will not be able to connect from Leslie to Eglinton nor from Eglinton to Leslie.
- Construction on nearby major north-south routes would move out of the intersections before the Leslie Street proposed closure happens.Traffic lanes are expected to be opened and turn restrictions lifted at Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue in May and Bayview Avenue and Eglinton Avenue in June.

We recommend starting to look for alternate routes and commuting options before the construction begins to make your commute to Holland Bloorview as smooth as possible.
