As a learning organization, Holland Bloorview values and is enriched by the ongoing learning and development of our employees. We provide support for a range of continuing education initiatives, including attending and/or participating in conferences, workshops and courses. We also offer paid professional development days for attending conferences, workshops, writing exams, studying and writing papers.
A bursary program is available to help staff in academic programs at the degree, diploma and certificate level. We also offer a wide variety of in-house learning opportunities, as well as research opportunities within our Bloorview Research Institute. All new staff participate in an orientation program and are offered mentoring opportunities.
Holland Bloorview also provides many resources to help our employees deliver client and family-centred care, including simulation training and core behaviour tip sheet.
