Harry Ort joined the Board of Trustees at Holland Bloorview in March 2012. He is an accomplished businessman with strategic, financial, marketing, operational and general management experience and strong communications' skills and a consultative, flexible style that adapts to a variety of situations.
Harry is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and holds the designation of ICD.D from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He was a member of KPMG from 1974 – 2011.
He has served in a senior role in client service as a business and tax consultant to the global top 100 financial institutions. He has served as Partner-in-Charge of Field Marketing, Financial Institutions Real Estate Practice and Tax Partners, in the GTA. Mr. Ort has participated on the Management Committee and National Markets Committee for KPMG, responsible for developing overall firm strategy, plans and implementation.
Harry has been the past member of the Advisory Committee to the Financial Services Program of the Schulich School of Business at York University. He is a volunteer director on boards of NUC-TUC Non-Profit Homes Corporation, Cummer Avenue United Church, and has participated in the governance of Goulding Park Hockey Association and the Osteoporosis Society of Canada.
He is a member of the Investment Sub-Committee and the Business & Audit Committee of the Board.
