Student Opportunities: Graduate Student Scholarship Awards

Introduction

There are five Graduate Student Scholarship Awards available at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. The six Graduate Student Scholarship Awards available are :

  • Five Holland Bloorview Foundation Graduate Student Awards.
  • The remaining award is the The "Whipper" Watson Graduate Research Studentship Award given to the top ranked student. This award is funded in the memory of Whipper “Billy” Watson, a Toronto legend and wrestler, known for his charitable work for children with disabilities.

Award

The awards are comprised of $5,000 (CDN), each are for one year, and are not renewable.

Eligibility

To be eligible for Holland Bloorview Foundation Graduate Student Awards, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program (MSc or PhD)
  • Must not have previously received a Holland Bloorview or "Whipper" Watson (formerly BCHF) Graduate Student Scholarship Award

Acknowledgement

Award recipients are expected to acknowledge in all presentations and publications that their research was supported by a graduate scholarship (either The Holland Bloorview Foundation Graduate Student Award Program or the Whipper Watson Award) from Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Recipients will be requested to write a thank you letter to the donor.
