March Break Program

Student volunteer with client

Earn your 40 hours of community service in one week!

Please submit your march break application by February 1, for first round consideration. Applications submitted after this date will be considered until all placements are full. We encourage you to apply early.

Here is a sample of the programs offered to our clients during this week:

Creative arts March break respite camp

Volunteers must be 16+ years of age

This is a respite day camp that serves children and youth 4-18 years old with complex physical disabilities and developmental delays.

Therapeutic recreation

Volunteers must be 17+ years of age

Therapeutic recreation offers a variety of programs for clients that volunteers can find placements in: the brain injury rehab team unit (BIRT), specialized orthopaedic & developmental rehab unit (SODR) and the complex continuing care unit (CCC).

Reliability is key. Volunteering at Holland Bloorview is a commitment. Our clients rely on you, the volunteer, to participate in programs. Our march break camp cannot run without our volunteers.
