Known as the problem solvers, Jerzy Antczak, Bill Johnson and Michael Cullen are the team to call when others can’t find a solution.
Tackling any challenge, big or small, this team specializes in finding unique solutions for using electronic devices to increase independence and safety for clients in many areas of daily living, including the use of call bells, lights, computers, door openers, cell phones, and much more.
This passionate and talented team, working in Holland Bloorview’s Electronic Aids to Daily Living service, provides assessments, technology recommendations and training for equipment – offering their clients innovative solutions when they are unable to use commercially available adaptive technology to meet their needs.
Jerzy is a rehabilitation engineer and interface coordinator. With 29 years of experience in his field, Jerzy actively listens to clients’ needs, providing assessments for access.
Bill, senior model maker, suggests innovative design solutions during assessments, while working closely behind the scenes with the mechanics of the equipment.
Michael is the electronic technologist, contributes to the team’s success by designing and programming the electronic devices which they create.
“When I thought I had lost all mobility and had to rely on other people to help me, my family turned to Jerzy, Bill and Michael for a solution,” says Jeffrey Man, client. “The team was able to help me find a way to still be independent and move around on my own. I am grateful for what they do because they have provided me with hope and independence.”
